We are excited for our upcoming project, Selwyn Street Apartments, which has just featured in the recent article below. The apartments are one of the first developments in New Zealand specifically designed to be ‘Build to Rent’ (BTR).
Kent Gardner, a private equity property investor, has a vision to build residential units with long term tenancy in mind. The Selwyn Street apartments are the first of his BTR projects which he hopes will act as a catalyst for more BTR developments around New Zealand. Long term tenancies are commonplace overseas and shift the way tenants view their homes.
The 48 Selwyn Street apartments are high quality, 1 and 2 bedroom units, in a 3-storey walk-up design focused on creating a community on the 3,240sm2 site. The development is situated near public transport, public amenities and Onehunga’s bustling retail hub. We are looking forward to this project being completed in mid-August.
