We hope everyone has a well deserved break over this Summer period, and are looking forward to hit the ground running, refreshed in 2024!

The Brewer Davidson offices will be closed from Thursday 21st Dec, and we will reopen again on Monday 8^th January 2024.

Within a month, construction begins on Reiputa, a medium density development providing 297 high quality Build-to-Rent apartments in Mt Wellington.

Brewer Davidson are excited to team up with Simplicity Living to begin work on Aotearoa’s largest Build-to-Rent development to date!

As well as 297 apartments built to a Homestar Rating, this development includes large central gardens, communal recreation facilities and is located only minutes away from the Panmure train station.

We are excited for this landmark project to come to life and we are looking forward to the meaningful contribution it will make to Housing in Tamaki Makaurau.

We are excited to announce Brewer Davidson’s involvement in an upcoming development of 330 Build to Rent, high quality apartments adjacent to Ellerslie Racecourse!
 
Following our previous work with Simplicity Living, designing over 160 medium density build- to-rent homes in Onehunga and Point England, we are already at work to get these quality, long term rentals built in Greenlane.  
The development is a five-minute walk to Greenlane’s train station and retail shops, and the medium density buildings will be nestled in a beautiful, green environment.

Construction is planned to begin next year, and design is underway now!

The promise of medium-density housing in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland is becoming a reality, as highlighted through Brewer Davidson’s and Simplicity Living’s recently opened Hinaki development, in a Stuff article!

The stuff article focuses on the experience of one resident of the Hinaki development, who through our medium density developments, was able to put a deposit on his first affordable home in Auckland, and how he has adapted to medium-density living and its sense of community.

We are excited to see images of our Hinaki development in use, showing shared amenities such as a bike shed for residents and shared gardens!

Our Greenstar Designed Build-to-Rent Development in Selwyn Street, Onehunga has been showcased in a promotional video, produced by ARC. The video shows not only the architectural details of the 48-unit development, designed by BDA, but also highlights their system of management, as a long term build-to-rent programme.  

We are looking forward to seeing how this build to rent programme combined with good-quality, sustainable design could change the face of housing in Auckland!

Brewer Davidson is excited for our designs to be showcased in a recently published press release for Simplicity Living. NZ Living and Simplicity announced they are combining to form Simplicity Living, a significant build to rent housing programme in New Zealand.

The long-term vision for Simplicity Living is to build high quality, affordable homes for rent across the country. Shane Brealey, Managing Director NZ Living, saying ‘Simplicity shares our long-term vision. With our skill in building and managing, and their ability to fund at scale, we are well-placed to make a positive difference in the housing sector.’  

Both projects illustrated in this press release are Brewer Davidson designs; one being NZ Living’s Kupenga Development in Point England and the other, the recently completed ARC Selwyn Street Development in Onehunga. 

Combined, these projects represent 159 apartments in the build to rent programme.

In a previous blog post, our ARC Selwyn Street Development was highlighted as one of New Zealand's first build-to-rent developments.
