Brewer Davidson in conjunction with Professor Norman Day won an international competition to design a masterplan for a greenfields university site. The final interview was in competition with Foster + Partners. The masterplan responds closely to the site's topography and linear parks are combined with flood management areas. The university is designed as a series of village colleges rather than a modernist campus with a town centre providing amenity and recreational areas for staff and students.
