Pamure Transit Oriented Design
Brewer Davidson was the urban design consultant for Opus on the AMETI project. We provided urban design for the whole eastern corridor but our key work is around the Panmure Transport Interchange. At the start of the project a motorway interchange was proposed that would have severed the town centre from the rail station and Mount Wellington. We proposed a Transit Oriented Design approach where the arterial traffic is underground and an urban street network connects the interchange to Panmure. The transport interchange was completed in 2014 and the next stage is the roundabout removal to reconnect rail station and town centre.
